Stoutsgiving 2021 - The Return

Stoutsgiving 2021 - fully in person again, and as amazing as ever.

Please join us on Wednesday 11/24/2021 at 11am for this annual celebration of our favorite dark beverage, black as night and thick as motor oil: The Stout.

This year's event will feature NINE (9) selections.

1. Bourbon Barrel Aged Towpath Imperial Stout 2021. This year's batch clocks in at 10.0% ABV and was aged in Heaven Hill and Willet barrels. Full bodied, rich, roasty, and complemented by notes of vanilla and chocolate from the barrel aging process, this is perhaps our smoothest version yet. Available in draft and 4-packs of 12 oz cans.

2. Rare 2021. This year's Rare bottle was aged in a specially selected Buffalo Trace barrel to add a more refined bourbon kick to the base BBA Towpath Imperial Stout. 10.1% ABV. Available for the first time in 500 mL bottles. Also available for onsite consumption at our tap room.

3. Double Barrel 2021. This year's Double Barrel bottle was aged in a @BlackButton bourbon barrel before being transferred to a barrel previously holding vanilla extract. The result is added sweetness and complexity in one of our favorite Towpath versions yet. 10.1% ABV. Available for the first time in 500 mL bottles. Also available for onsite consumption at our tap room.

4. Mudlarked Imperial Stout with Peanut Butter. Brewed with 9 different malts, milk sugar, cocoa nibs, and flavored with peanut butter, this beer is as thick as mud. This was very popular in 2020 and we think this year's batch is even better. 10.0% ABV. Available in draft and 4-packs of 16 oz cans.

5. Mudlarked Imperial Stout with Banana & Coconut. New offering in 2021. The same rich chocolatey base with banana and coconut added. Nuff said. 10.0% ABV. Available in draft and 4-packs of 16 oz cans.

6. BBA Towpath 2020. We're tapping a single 1/6 barrel of last year's batch for anyone interested for a vertical tasting. 10.1% ABV. Draft only.

7. Chocolate Peppermint Stout. Brewed with massive amounts of cocoa nibs and a cool touch of peppermint. This stout soothes you with peppermint kisses to make the cold go away. A popular Innovation Series stout we made earlier this year. 5.7% ABV. Draft only.

8. Hazelnut Make Me Wanna Stout (cask). Our popular coffee and cream stout with hazelnut, on cask. 5.2% ABV. Draft only.

9. Baltic Porter. Not technically a stout, but still plenty dark, roasty, and exceedingly smooth despite the 8.9% ABV. Draft only.

Beer Release 10/22: French Toast Cinnamon Apple, Power Ballad DIPA, and BttlB: West Coast IPA

This Friday 10/22 we’ll be releasing three new beers in cans and on draft at our tap room!

1) French Toast Cinnamon Apple

This autumn breakfast beer is an amber ale brewed with cider from New York State apples, cinnamon, allspice, oatmeal and brown sugar. We brewed this with an increased malt bill to add an even fuller mouthfeel as well as a hefty punch of maple syrup to add some rich sweetness to the beer. ABV = 7.5%

This is a beer that will taste as good during breakfast as it does during dessert, especially on a cool autumn day!

2) Power Ballad Double IPA

It’s the reunion you’ve all been waiting for…COMMUNITY BEER WORKS 🎸…BIG DITCH BREWING CO. 🎹Together again for a mindblowing tour of epic proportions...

POWER BALLAD DOUBLE IPA IS BACK, BABY! Rich pale malt, wheat and dextrin malts create a smooth mouthfeel and luxurious head, while using an extreme amount of Citra, Amarillo, and Mosaic hops to lend high notes of grapefruit, orange, passionfruit, and pine. Do you want to know what love is? ABV = 8.5%

3) Beer That Tastes LIke Beer: West Coast IPA

Featuring huge tropical and citrus aroma and flavor from the Mosaic, Amarillo, and Cascade hops used, our take on the classic West Coast IPA style includes moderate bitterness and a relatively clean and crisp finish. ABV = 7.0%

The Beerie County Fair (A WNY Brewery Week Event)

We're teaming up with our fellow City Breweries for WNY Craft Brewery Week to bring you: The Beerie County Fair!

Join us Monday, September 27th 6pm at Big Ditch for a night of beer, games, and fun!

Beers will be featured from seven city breweries. Your purchase of a ticket will get you a beer plus a chance to play a carnival game being ran by the brewer/rep/owner from that brewery!

AWARD WINNING ANNOUNCEMENT!

We are pleased to announce that we won four medals in the 2021 U.S. Open Beer Championship, which is the 3rd largest beer competition in the USA!

The four medals won were good enough to place as us the 5th most awarded brewery in the entire competition!

Brewed with lager yeast then dry hopped with Mosaic, Simcoe, and Motueka hops, this India Pale Lager is clean with soft bitterness and intense passion fruit character. 7.1% ABV. $14.99 / 16 oz 4-pack

Beer that tastes like Beer: Gose

This series shines a light on “beer that tastes like beer” to keep us from forgetting why we fell in love with craft beer in the first place. This classic take on a German-style sour wheat ale was also made with fresh lemon zest, coriander, and sea salt, to result in a tart, lightly citrus and very refreshing beer. 4.3% ABV. $12.99 / 16 oz 4-pack
