WE'RE TURNING 8! Let's party!

We're turning 8! Celebrate with us on Thursday, May 18th at 5:00pm! Our 8th anniversary party will incorporate all the things we love most - awesome beer, great food, live music, and of course, plenty of friends.

THE BEER:
Along with our regular draft list we'll have 5 limited releases on tap that we made specifically for the party!
- 8th Anniversary French Toast Imperial Stout (10% ABV)
- Strawberry Vision Sour Fruit Beer - batch #2 of one of our most requested Innovation Series beers (5.4% ABV)
- Basically Juice - our newest Double IPA (9% ABV)
- Salted Watermelon Cucumber Seltzer - our housemade seltzer with fruit (4.2% ABV)
- Double Dry Hopped Little Waves Lager - w/ Nelson Sauvin hops (5% ABV)

THE FOOD:
We'll be offering our normal dinner menu, along with the following features:
- BBQ Ribs - St Louis style ribs served with coleslaw and fries
- Sausage Melt w/Hanzlian’s stuffed pepper chicken sausage
- Garlic Shrimp Scampi Skewers
- Street Corn Dip served with tortilla chips and vegetable crudité

Introducing Little Waves Lager

LITTLE WAVES LAGER is our first lager available in 6-packs and the beer that is replacing Low Bridge Golden Ale. Brewed for calm, relaxing days without a lot of turbulence, this classic, crisp and clean Helles lager is balanced with light bready malt character and floral hop flavor. 5.0% ABV. Available now!

More on replacing Low Bridge: All good things must come to an end. We've been making Low Bridge Golden Ale since we first opened and it will always hold a special place in our hearts, but it's time for a change. We will miss Low Bridge Golden Ale, but we think you’ll LOVE Little Waves. It checks all the same boxes, but in a crisper, cleaner style that goes down just as easy (maybe even easier).

INNOVATION THURSDAYS

Introducing INNOVATION THURSDAYS! We're constantly trying new things in both our brewery and our kitchen so we decided it's time to share some of these creations with you! Every Thursday we'll have a brand new small batch beer and a brand new wing flavor that will be available for one day only. Keep an eye on our social accounts for the beer style and wing flavor each week. Innovations Thursdays start 3/9/23!

Best Hayburner Homebrew Clone Contest Rules

If you’ve purchased one of our Hayburner homebrew kits, here are instructions for submission to our contest for Best Hayburner Clone! FYI - there are still a few kits left and still time to get a batch done if you’re interested! The best clone, as determined by our brewer judges, will win the equivalent of Hayburner for a year! (One case of Hayburner per month for 12 months, in the form of a gift card to our tap room.)

1) The judging of this contest will be a public event. Contestants, or general Hayburner enthusiasts, can watch the entire contest/judging process.

2) Entries must be submitted by attaching name, email, and phone number to three bottles/cans, minimum of 12 oz. This information should be taped with packaging tape onto the bottles themselves.

3) Beers need to be submitted no later than 3/31. Stop by our tap room during any open hours. Submit your entry beers to one of our hosts. Our managers will collect the entries and store in our cooler. Managers will not show entries to judges - this competition will be conducted blindly.

4) The competition will be judged on Saturday 4/15 from 12pm to 4pm. We plan to split entries into flights of 10 beers each. Judges will be our brewers and other knowledgeable employees from Big Ditch. We’re also planning on reaching out to three "celebrity" judges. More info on this soon.

5) Hosts will bring bottles to judges in such a way as to obscure the contestants. Judges will score using the “BJCP” point system, with points awarded to beers most resembling Hayburner.

6) If necessary, there will be a final round, where winners from earlier flight rounds will be pooled together for a Best-In-Show round. We hope to wrap up the first session by 2pm, with the final round judged by 4pm. After that, we’ll announce the winner of the Best Hayburner Clone contest!
